Thursday, February 26 | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
239 West 72nd Street, 2nd Floor, New York, NY

About the Guest Speaker
Tang Liang 唐亮 has been a collector of Chinese antique textiles for over 40 years. An artist as well as a collector, her redesigns were showcased at the Tree Museum and at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing (2024).
In this talk, Tang Liang will share how ancestral knowledge remains vital in the modern world through her personal story of collecting and traveling to remote mountain regions in the 1990s, cultivating relationships with local ethnic weavers, and honoring Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Activation Experience
During the activation, participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with heritage: to touch, feel, and appreciate the lands and people who made the original textiles. This is an embodied experience of textiles as tranquility, inviting a quiet, restorative flow of life-force energy through texture, color, and presence.
