Appreciation Night of Antique Textile & Tea
Tang Liang 唐亮 has been a collector of Chinese antique textiles for over 40 years. An artist as well as a collector, her redesigns were showcased at the Tree Museum and at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing (2024). In this talk, Tang Liang shared how ancestral knowledge remains vital in the modern world through her personal story of collecting and traveling to remote mountain regions in the 1990s, cultivating relationships with local ethnic weavers, and honoring Intangible Cultural Heritage.
A Quiet Day Summer Retreat Just an Hour from NYC
A one-day riverside retreat just an hour north of NYC, where guests were invited into a slow and nourishing rhythm of nature and tea. The day unfolded with guided tea tastings, a seasonal farm picnic, a walk along hidden forest paths, and a concluding tea ceremony by the Hudson River—each moment offering space for presence, connection, and quiet reflection.

Summer Solstice Tea at Untermyer Gardens
A once-in-a-year tea ritual held in the majestic Untermyer Gardens to honor the longest day of the year. This intimate gathering unfolded in two parts: sensory tea stations in the Walled Garden, accompanied by live ambient music, followed by a silent sunset ceremony overlooking the Hudson River. Guests embarked on a meditative journey through exquisite teas, stillness, and connection in a private space reserved for this special evening.

Looking to go deeper?
If the classes and events have sparked something in you, the One-to-One Gong Fu study is the way to continue. This is not a class—it is an ongoing, personal transmission through tea. We’ll sit together again and again, letting the practice unfold naturally, until either of us knows it is complete.
Here, you won’t just learn technique—you’ll enter into the living art of Gong Fu Cha, discovering not only how to brew tea, but how to serve, how to listen, and how to be.
