Requirements:

• Active NYS DOH Food Handler Certificate

• Established tea practice for 5 + years

• Continuing self-education, including attendance of Floating Mountain workshops, Tea Ceremonies, and other Events

• Physical ability to repeatedly kneel to serve each pour of tea to guests, hand-wash the floor at the end of each shift & carry a 20 lb. bucket of water up and down two flights of stairs 

• Three-month probation/appraisal period

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Timely and efficient opening and closing of the tea house

• Innate and up to date knowledge of available teas 

• Skillful tea brewing abilities adhering to provide best practices via the teahouse operation guideline

• Skillful and careful handling of the teaware

• Ensuring the signature ambiance of Floating Mountain is maintained at all time

• Maintenance of DOH requirements at all time​
